On march 20th, Digistore24 was suffering from increased page load times as well as intermittent availability during a time window from 2:20 PM CET to 5 PM CET.

We understand the utmost importance of providing an uninterrupted service: our engineers have investigated potential causes with top priority.

The incident was caused by an DDOS attack against our website which saturated our database. The attacker tried to login to Digistore24 using a username/password combinations leaked on other websites.
In order to mitigate the attack and to counter similar ones in the future, we have taken appropriate steps both during the attack and afterwards, which for security reasons we cannot discuss publicly.
